1. January 27 – Liam Neeson. The ever-distinguished Mr. Neeson has always been a force in Hollywood, but this year he is flippin’ taking over. He has SIX huge titles coming out in one year. Most actors are lucky if they get two. And these aren’t small, independent art-house movies either; they are going to be record-breaking action-hero blockbusters. His reign starts with The Grey, opening today, then in February, the re-release of Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace. He will reprise his role as Zeus in Wrath of the Titans out March 30. Battleship, based on the Milton Bradley game comes out May 18. The highly anticipated final chapter of the Batman Begins series, The Dark Knight Rises out July 20, and finally, a yet-untitled sequel to 2008’s Taken will be out in October.
